A Dandy Find

Ladies and Gentleman, start your glue guns!

The bedazzled glue guns will be out for this evening's premiere of "Craft Wars." Executive Produced and hosted by Tori Spelling, this craft competition pits crafters against each other for a $10,000 prize. And yes, the show features several male competitors among the cast. Tori tells the NY Daily News, “We have several men competing on ‘Craft Wars,’ which I was actually surprised at,” Spelling says. “I wasn’t aware that men craft almost as much as we do....and adds that the politically correct term for a male crafter is a 'maker.'”

Premiering tonight on TLC at 10 p.m., three crafters will have an hour to create themed projects each week using basic materials and supplies from Michael's crafts. The most creative crafter wins the prize.

I don't know about you...but I know what my plans are this evening!

A Dandy Find

We have a new number one Dandy pick for summer!
After reading my post, "2012 Summer Must-Haves," a reader suggested I try L'oreal's new Sublime Bronze tinted self-tanning lotion. After trying it out, I'm very happy to report that I love it! Not only does it moisturize better than my regular Jergen's natural glow foaming moisturizer, but it also gives me a nice natural tan with only one use! Pick up your tube at your local drugstore or order yours here! Don't you just love learning new things!

Your food is here...seamlessly

Seamless Food Delivery Online and Mobile
It's getting close to lunchtime, do you know where your food is coming from?
Recently, I attended the launch party for seamless.com, a new website devoted to easing food delivery and catering.
Delivery guy with Seamless customer
At seamless.com, you simply order whatever you or your coworkers are hungry for from your computer or smartphone and have it delivered or ready for pick-up at your designated time.

In true scientific style, I wanted to test them out. So, I ordered a pizza from my desk at work from our favorite place La Villa Pizza and noted that I wanted it delivered at 7:15 p.m. that evening. As I was finishing my workout...I preplanned a calorie burnoff... the doorbell rang and Voilà, we had fresh wonderful vegetarian pizza! Nothing could be easier.

So the next time you're hungry but can't decide on what to eat, check out seamless.com. You'll be surprised at the ease and choices available!
Some offerings included these three been dip shooters from Saint Germain Catering

Pret-a-Papier: The Exquisite Art of Isabelle de Borchgrave

Remember the fun of playing with paper dolls as a young child? You'd sit for hours and cut up little suits, dresses, and casual wear to outfit your favorite characters. Well, now appearing at Hillwood is an adult version of paper couture!

Begining June 16, Hillwood Museum and Gardens is featuring an exhibit by Isabelle de Borchgrave.
Inspired by the sumptuous clothes depicted in rich old world paintings and the designs of the grand couturiers, Isabelle creates elaborate outfits out of rag paper by crumpling, pleating, braiding and painting the surfaces to achieve the effect of textiles and the illusion of  Hauté couture.
Check out this wonderful exhibit at Hillwood Museum through  and then head over to the café for a champagne brunch!
