Pret-a-Papier: The Exquisite Art of Isabelle de Borchgrave

Remember the fun of playing with paper dolls as a young child? You'd sit for hours and cut up little suits, dresses, and casual wear to outfit your favorite characters. Well, now appearing at Hillwood is an adult version of paper couture!

Begining June 16, Hillwood Museum and Gardens is featuring an exhibit by Isabelle de Borchgrave.
Inspired by the sumptuous clothes depicted in rich old world paintings and the designs of the grand couturiers, Isabelle creates elaborate outfits out of rag paper by crumpling, pleating, braiding and painting the surfaces to achieve the effect of textiles and the illusion of  Hauté couture.
Check out this wonderful exhibit at Hillwood Museum through  and then head over to the café for a champagne brunch!
